We’ve been posting so many images these past days that we thought why not another three? One image shows the actual MacTablet whilst the other two show interface shots from within Mac OS X and the virtual keyboard and numberpad. Clicky below for larger versions.

Looks fake to me.
February 25th, 2006 at 12:48 pm
AWESOME!!!!!! Where did you get the pic`s, they are amazing!!!
February 25th, 2006 at 1:24 pm
looks pretty big, compared to the cd disc. still though it would be pretty awsome if apple are going to start to bring out stuff like that
February 25th, 2006 at 1:25 pm
The last picture is photoshopped. Look at the size of the CD compared to the tablet. That tablet has to be around 20 inches long. I don’t see apple making one that huge.
February 25th, 2006 at 2:15 pm
LoL, I don’t know what to think about anything anymore. Fake or real, i don’t give a fuck but i like the buzz.

[…] MacShrine har även ett par fins screenshots som kan vara värda att kolla in. […]

I don’t know is that the aperature icon on the dock in those pictures? and if so, why is it there. i assume that it will be intel based (why woudn’t it be?) and therefor won’t run pro apps like apperature yet. unless those are also gonna be released on tuesday. dunno.

Riiiiiiight. Tablet for Yao Ming.
February 25th, 2006 at 3:26 pm
oh man this loooooks so fucking sweet. if this is real, and is that big… im in awe. The only thing i doubt is Apple making that pen for the tablet.. white tablet, gray pen? no apple like…
February 25th, 2006 at 3:30 pm
Nice Photoshop Work but visible faked!!!!!!
February 25th, 2006 at 3:31 pm
Fake, But still I wan it.
Simple way to see the fakatude. the door stop pictured in the upper left is in reality no more than 3 inches, However, it is as big or BIGGER? than the “CD” in the “Tablet”
people often forget that scale is VERRY important.
February 25th, 2006 at 3:39 pm
Check out the factory shot and the size of the connector and then check out the latest pic, that would make the connector about a cd in width. Nice try but that is an obvious fake.
February 25th, 2006 at 3:53 pm
Funny it doesn’t have its own drawing software…it has to use Art Rage….http://www.ambientdesign.com/artrage.html
February 25th, 2006 at 4:07 pm
No way that’s real. It’s the size of a 20″ iMac screen, judging from the CD, and it’s about 1/2″ thick. It would snap in half with the smallest amount of pressure. Nice try, but nope.
February 25th, 2006 at 4:34 pm
Okay this is partially real. I dont know exactly where the pics came from but MacTablets now do exist. They don’t officially come from Apple Computers though… it’s basically a company other than apple who dismantles the previous powerbooks and ibook parts and fit it into a tablet body that looks exactly like the iBooks only it’s a tablet.
Go to macworld. The company who’s making these hasn’t officially released it yet because it’s by order meaning you make an order and they make it for you basically. They have lots of listings up in eBay but it’s pretty expensive for a mock up of the iBooks. I mean come on now maybe if they were able to put at least 2.0GHz in these tablets maybe I just might get one but it’s like 1.2/3GHz in a tablet…there are lots of faster ones out there.
And no warranty.

I think this stuff isn’t funny anymore. We’ve had like 8 fake pics in 3 days.. I’m getting tired of this stuff
February 25th, 2006 at 5:13 pm
why would apple make an onscreen keyboard that has all the useless limitations that a powerbook keyboard has because of its size
(
-fn key/f-keys/volume buttons
-only one option and ctrl each?
-no enter key?
-what’s that minikey next the left apple key?
-why doesn’t it show what’s on shift-3, EVEN WHEN SHIFT IS PRESSED??
),
and not use the amazing possibilities that a keyboard that can CHANGE ALL THE TIME?
why are the white key borders so unappealingly thick?
Jeez, apart from all the other “criticism”, if this was not a fake, apple would suuuure have to answer a lot of embarrassing questions…
truly yours,
mr. smart

Hmmm…might be real. In that first screenshot, on the virtual keyboard, command, shift, 3 is being depressed which is the keyboard shortcut for a screenshot. Seems pretty thorough if fake. just my $.02
February 25th, 2006 at 7:26 pm
The last one looks fake but it would be very nice if something like this was available at a similar size to the Sony Reader.
Mac on the bus to work. Nice
February 25th, 2006 at 7:27 pm
[…] A Mac Tablet for Tuesday? Pics look kinda fake to me, at least the last one but, it does look cool… […]
February 25th, 2006 at 7:32 pm
I could easily see them making one that large, if they are targeting artists and designers — then it makes perfect sense… also makes sense that they would be showing compatibility with existing paiting software. This would basically blow Wacom’s Cintiq out of the water, as it provides the drawing onscreen ability WITH the whole computer in your hands.
That’s not to say that there aren’t going to be smaller versions for business folk, students, and average joe’s as well. They could be planing a line just like the powerbooks… 12″, 15″ and 17+”
Time will tell…
February 25th, 2006 at 9:00 pm
Ok. Let’s assume for a moment that these are real. Why does this guy have one? It looks like it was taken on the floor in someone’s house. Apple would never let something like this out of HQ before it’s announced, especially let someone take one home! The two screen shots look beautiful, maybe even believeable, but the shot of the “tablet” on the floor of someone’s house just doesn’t make sense, ignoring any flaws in perspective or proportion (which ARE there).
February 26th, 2006 at 6:15 am
Good try. Open the shot in Photoshop and view each channel in R G and B. No residual color in each channel. Not saying it doesn’t exist–just saying this is a faked shot — way too clean.
February 26th, 2006 at 10:48 am
interesting how the placed the cd under the ‘tablet’ in the last picture
the date between pics 2 and 3 fits, but the first one was taken at 2.50 am on wednesday, and then the next two at 3 something and 4 something in the morning on friday….something is fishy, though it looks well done
anyone know if someone got fired immediately from apple, or better, is some apple employee missing since Friday?
February 26th, 2006 at 12:08 pm
The last is most certainly a fake. CXFJ is spot on - look at relationship of size of other objects.
The pen is a Wacom pen of which I have one right in front of me.They’re about 6inches long - the usual length of a pen. Copying and pasting the one in the pic so it’s next to the CD shows the CD’s diameter to be around half the length of the pen, making it no more than 4 inches.
The pen also indicates the device is possibly near 20 inches in length and there’s no way Apple would go for such a large device this early in the game.
Another clue is the abrupt change from white to grey in the casing on the bottom left. Use Gamma correction and darken the image and it will become very clear.
And lastly, the top right corner should be protruding into the wall given it’s lying flat on the carpet.
And finally… you really think Apple will make a tablet without some fold over screen protector?

[…] Plus d’info […]
February 26th, 2006 at 5:04 pm
First full-length movie to be offered by Apple will be “Brokeback Mountain”. You heard it here first.
February 26th, 2006 at 10:12 pm
Total fake. Look how the third picture just looks odd. Also, that thing would be MASSIVE! It also looks like that new iPod fake picture, just giant size for a tablet.
July 9th, 2006 at 4:22 am
hmm… that would be interesting can’t wait to see!

How do I go about purchasing the software for this program?
