Paul over at LimePrint has found that the new Mac minis (announced on Tuesday) can possibly have their CPUs upgraded. Paul claims “the use of a socket for the CPU rather than having it soldered-on, unreplaceable” will let you change the processor. It all sounds logical but we wouldn’t suggest burning up your new Mac mini yet. Paul is going to look over the Intel whitepapers and see if the Mac mini cooling can handle higher processor speeds. Rather him than us!

Haha, it’s actually PaulStamatiou.com but for some reason digg wouldn’t let me submit a story with that, so I used my alternate domain. =D

I took the intel mini with the duo for a test “drive” the other day at the apple store.. seemed like a nice machine for the price. I’d love to have one.
