New Zune advert, eh? Are iTunes music sales collapsing?

Just found out (maybe everyone knew already?) that Adobe is not dropping Fireworks, but in fact currently developing the new version. Fireworks 9 is currently in private beta and is one of Adobes first Universal apps.

ah.. not worth it. i think fireworks is some shitty app.. i had to do some webdesigns with it these days and couldn’t have been happier when i could go back to photoshop and illustrator…

    11010010,

You just aren’t familiar with Fireworks. If you knew how to work it, you
could have your work tgrimmed, optimized and on your server before Photoshop even
    got through the loading credits.

If you are doing extremely high-end professional illustration, filtering, masking or channel work - Photoshop has its advantages.

For the stuff that you see on 99% of all blogs and webpages - Fireworks is much quicker.

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

I agree with Brett. Fireworks rocks for web design, I find that Photoshop just does not cut it when, as someone else said, it just feels like the wrong tool for the job. Photoshop is for image manipulation, Fireworks is all about layout.

  6. HL Says:

Fireworks is more the layout is about design.

Photoshop is just a very powerful image manipulation and rendering tool. Even the vector feature was eventually use in rendering image effects and not mean for web design.

Image Ready is trying to mimic symbol feature but difficult to change a lot layout design quick enough as it still want to behave like PS.

Fireworks kicks for the web. Photoshop kicks for print. They’re both gonna work together soon though. I have the Fireworks 9 beta, it’s pretty smooth.
