Microsoft Zune to play games Windows Home Server revealed

Let’s get right into it. 16 hours battery life for music playback? Yikes, I get more from my “proper” iPod. Apple says we get the full Mac OS X, more like a stripped-down version - we can’t load our own applications (…more like widgets…) onto the thing. Also what’s up with being locked to Cingular? What will happen when it’s released in Europe - will it be locked to a network which is almost unseen nowadays. The iPhone is also a “widescreen iPod” as Steve said so why does it only have a paltry 8GB - how much music is that? Meh, this is only a prototype - hopefully by June the software and hardware will be updated as Nokia and Co have around 5 months to develop their own version! No removable memory and no removable and changeable battery? What was Apple thinking.

Hey, my 3G iPod only ever had 8 hours of battery life and I think only a long haul plane flight caused me to see it run down during use. If it charges both at the wall and via USB, and with a car charger, there really isn’t any reason to be low on juice.

I’d say not being able to instal whichever application probably makes for a better phone experience to start with, because all the apps have been tested and designed to work. I’m sure in the future new stuff will be able to be loaded onto the iPhone.

I agree 8GB is not really enough for video - but you probably can’t watched more than a few without charging so I guess you can re-load then.

I’ve never changed a mobile phone battery so I’d be glad it won’t fall out when I drop the bloody thing like it does now. The only time I remove the battery is to get the sim card out or in - great design hey!

I hope it’s unlocked in Europe/therestoftheworld ! I guess some features like visual voicemail won’t work but that’s OK :)

Darn, it’s not perfect. Clearly a failure. Guess Apple should just throw in the towel on consumer electronics. Can you change your iPod’s battery?

Macshrine, you guys are idiots. Your focusing on a few of the slightest problems and acting like this is a total flop. This is by far the greatest phone, music player, and portable internet this world has ever seen! Are you guys looking at the same phone? Are you that oblivious to beauty that you can’t ignore a few of the slightest problems to see this phone for what it really is…a revolutionary piece of equipment!?! Whoever posted this article is a moron.
