Finally! Apple today announced they will be shipping Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard at 6pm on Friday 26th October at all Apple Stores worldwide.

Update: The page was taken down almost immediately after we posted it.

   it better come out b4 the 12th cuse i bought my new iMac then (aug. 12)… and from what i know they have a 60 day period, like if i were to have bought a new comp at least 60days b4 the new os comes out… they give you a copy

   Well Nick, perhaps you could take your iMac to an Authorized Dealer to have your keyboard tested. Apparently your “Caps Lock” and/or “Shift” key do not work. You may also consider finding out how to use a spell checker. Finally, discover and use a grammar checker — I rarely recommend this to most people due to how they tend to homogenize writing but in your case, it will be an improvement.

   Oh and yes Nick, it IS all about you. Apple has listened to your specific needs vis-a-vis timing of the launch of Leopard and decided to launch it in two days. No problem mastering the final candidate, packaging and distributing worldwide Leopard in under 60 hours.

   Hi there, hey nick are you sure about that, I am wanting to buy a new macbook and would like to know if i should wait or just go ahead and buy it. I asked the Apple staff on there site and they said that they don’t know the details until the release date.
